Subject: MAT, MAP, MOR, MATMOR??

I have been using these terms for about a year without really being sure of their exact meaning. Let me know if I am on the right track here:

MAT pose:sets materials colors
MAP pose: sets texture maps
MOR pose: sets values of morphs (deltas?)

There are still pose files that I have no name for:

  1. What do you call a pose that adjusts the X, Y, Z trans of an object?
  2. What do you call a pose file that sets the textures AND morph values?
  3. What do you call a pose that modifies the scale of an object?

MAT poses usually apply the texture maps, also. I've rarely heard anyone use the term "MAP pose". 2. A MAT/MOR pose? I don't think there are specific names for numbers 1 and 3. Feel free to make up your own. Traveler has a few additional naming conventions for his utility poses .... HS (Hide/Show) : toggles visibility on specified body parts, also known as VIS pose IK : toggles Inverse Kinematics on specific limbs or the entire figure WMAT (White MAT) : turns off textures, sets all materials to white ZP (Zero Pose) : zeroes the figure's joints

MAP - have not seen this before and it is redundant MOR is the keys for morph channels (dial settings) POS pose would be position = rotations usually, but a Poser generated POS .pz2 has both rot keys and trans keys, so a pose file that does trans is a POS pose. (Position) MI pose would be morph injection (It has been called delta injection and MORdonor, but V3 kinda sets the injection term, even if it is not really either and injection or a donation - it is a replacement - because the channel has to be in the target cr2 for it to work and it just changes the deltas in an existing morph channel. There is no way to insert an entirely new morph channel using a pose file.) JNT pose would be for JP changes, scaling, ERC, setting limits for channels, hiding channels - the housekeeping catch all. A pose that does MAT (everything in a materials block) and MOR should probably just be called a character pose rather than try to make an abbreviation for it.
