runwolf, I don't frame or Mat but I do make money selling my images -as Tshirts (those are specially created images usually), and poster prints as well as canvas prints. I have had some custom Matted and Framed on occasion.

It didn't work very well Ilona, artists come here to buy "supplies" not prints. I sell through my personal site and through Pajama Pixels (which I also own) as well as art shows, festivals and gift shops. If you are interested in selling there are always ways to do that.

yes I am Lady SilverMage, cause I spend too many hours with this.. I do need to make some money right? can you give me some idea on how to do that ? I am doing it together with webdesign that I work with for 5 years now.. but this is a passion.. I really love doing it ...but in Brazil its quite hard yet...
I've been exploring avenues as well Ilona ... one place I've been looking at on the internet is www.cafepress.com They do all the stuff that I just don't have time to do ... print it, pack it, ship it, etc. Posters, framed prints, calendars, gift cards, all kinds of stuff. Haven't decided whether I want to use them though, I don't know what kind of quality they offer, although I have heard that their customer service is exceptional. I just don't know that much about printing, the costs of it all, shipping it, etc. If I could afford a quality printer that would print huge images on a decent stock watercolor paper, I'd definitely do it myself maybe.
I'd bew careful with cafepress rhiannon - there are some quality issues with them - in regards to whites, greys and yellows (I think it's the yellows might be the reds). I've had less the stellar results from them in the past. Also they won't print any images that contain nudity. Cnoose Zazzle instead (their print quality is fabulous - both on shirts and posters)

I thank you both !!!! Nudity is not a problem for me either... I never leave them totally naked but the mermaids which I can cover and no major problems... Well.. I can try one or two images and see what happens... never tried,, have no idea!!!!!!! I heard about a place but I just dont know where the h.. it is.. if I find the link I will post here too
we have a "curiosity" shop, (the jewel castle) a couple of doors from my office. they have everything cool, there....tarot cards, hand made dolls, exotic chess sets, incense, crystals one of a kind hand made furniture. all their stuff is very high quality. the owners are very nice, and take prints on consignment. i have sold 4 there. (lol...yeah, 4.) you should look for a spot like that in your area. at least you stand the chance of making a little money off your art. also, i have a few "real world" traditional artists who pay for poser/bryce tutorials. they don't have the time to go figger, trying to get a working knowledge of these 2 programs.

Deviant Art has member accounts that you can set up for prints, with international access. A full range of sizes, even postcards. My husband bought two of Socar Myles' rat prints for me for Christmas, and they're absolutely stunning. *Large* prints on good heavy stock paper and portrait quality.ouch hehehe 12 %? it hurts doesnt it???? I am checking deviantart right now... much better.. take a look How much of each sale do I get? You receive 50% of the profits above the "base price." The base price is explained in the agreement you sign before submitting every new print. Each item that is sold has a varying base price, please check here for a list. When will I get paid? Payments are paid (30) thirty days after the end of every quarter if you have accumulated $20.00 worth of revenues or more during that quarter. Q1 ends March 31st, Q2 ends June 30th, Q3 ends September 30th and Q4 ends December 31st. You are paid on or before April 30th, July 31st, October 31st and January 31st. Balances below $20.00 in a period are forwarded to the next period. Is there a maximum/minimum price? Yes, the base price is the minimum price. If you sell prints at the base price, you will receive no revenue for the print. Remember, you make 50% of the amount above the base price. (Example and only an example as the real numbers may differ: If the base price for a print is $14.00 and you set the sale price at $24.00, you make [(24-14)/2)=] $5.00 per print sold.
Oh yes, from what I understand after reading it, 1:33 is definitely an acceptable size, you just might not be able to sell those particular prints in the largest size. But, gotta' have a starting point. I think I'm gonna' go for it and upload some things this weekend. Let me know if you do ilona ... fun stuff, huh? :-) BTW, if anyone is interested, I'm pretty excited about it ... Dragon Oracle is being featured on www.witchvox.com this week ... it's sending my hits higher than they've ever been, and I've gotten quite a few inquiries. Whoooo! Just had to share!!

Ive just seen it.. congratulations... you deserve it all!!!!!! well I will try to find one of my pieces to send, I have no idea .. if you have an opinion I would so much appreciate it... OK... so now I can make images, but how can I make some money out of them? I could be doing in for at least 18 hours a day , but it has to pay back right? Does anyone have an idea how to make money out of it or where someone sell artwork? Renderosity doesnt get new ones anymore what is quite sad, but there must be a place who does right? Any ideas? I would appreciate it very much!
