If there is a URL to an adult site posted, please point it out so we can take action.

Spike, the point is that there is no adult URL posted, now was there. Spinner posted a link to a joke site, following another link to another joke site. The joke sites were fake porn sites: no sex, no nudity, no human beings for that matter. Just pictures of computers. Someone on a clean-up mission complained and both URLs were deleted. One has been reposted and remains undeleted.
Recheck... I did not say it was not a joke site, for that matter, it was very funny, but that does not change the fact that there was a lot of adult verbage and what was the images of? It was pulled because of adult content.

My post was removed because someone didnt want unsupervised teens running to mom & dad about a graphic of plugs that go into the butt of a mac board. My post was within the tos according to the IM I recieved. No nudity on the entire site... all the computers wore their protective covers. Tame compared to some of the other content posted in off-topic. For example there have been conversations linked from rotica, discussions of dominatrix/bondage relations. I would consider that to be more adult compared to photos of computer. Ivy too risque for rosity
It's rather depressing that adults don't seem to be welcome around here. I know that this claims to be a 'family' site, but families include adults too. When people refer to "playing to the lowest common denominator", it's not usually done by age. We don't all need to be infantilised, and we don't all welcome it. If we can only contribute material fit for children's eyes, pretty soon you're going to have no-one but children visiting. Then, of course, you're going to need to ditch about two-thirds of the content of the site just to be consistent. There goes the soft porn...er, I mean Poser gallery. Then again, if you don't want to make this into a kiddy playground, you might just want to tell the self-appointed moral guardians to grow up. That would require a spine, of course, but I think I know where you can download a free-stuff one...
ohh I got to get this straight. A link was posted about the computer sex life thinggy. It got deleted for adult content. it got reposted and not deleted. Someone got upset over electrical appliances??? if that is the case do they cover their eyes when they plug in a light to a socket? I am sorry But I have seen art in here {I am saying art} that is nude beautiful and all that great stuff. But it is not taken down{thank god} But a few pics of COMPUTERS set in funny poses is offensive?

, you're gonna love me for this ;-) Recently I had a URL and a post pulled in the OT, because someone complained. It was a joke-follow up to the sleazier side of mac, and as a joke I had marked the post as !Adult Content" ! So an admin pulled it, despite the fact there was no nekkidness, no nudity, just messing around with the concepts of sleazy sites, both links did this. So... How come it's ok for someone else to post the URL, with the same audience, and not for me ? I am also asking that if stuff gets pulled, fine, but please be consequent about it, otherwise I may suspect the complaint was made by someone just to be spiteful - and that the admins listened to it. Which would kinda crash with my view of them being neutral-ish in cases like these... ~S, (Who probably could have IM'd the admin in question, but I am at times confused over what goes and doesn't in the forums and also: the complaint was made to an Admin, not a Mod, and I'd like a -clean- discussion)
