Is it possible to separate elements in Poser 4? If so, how?

of course i mean separate a parent-child relationship, you don't even need to go into detail

AFAIK, the only way to "break out" a body part from a figure (as an example) is to export it as a wavefront.obj-file and re-import it. It is a separate prop then. Willy PS: I tried to do it in the hierarchy editor, but it doesn't move the body part from its location.
