Here is the answer. We found it on our weekend trip to Augsburg (Germany). I had to share this! So cute. lol, :-)))) Walther

In Augsburg you have the "Augsburger Puppenkiste" Germany's most famous puppet theatre. I think nearly every German - male or femal - around the age of 45 down to 30 grow up with them and can tell at once some titles of their plays, e.g. Urmel aus dem Eis, Gut gebrlt Le. There were even many series on TV - long before Seasamstreet. The SAMS is a figure of their plays - but this play was after my time - LOL! Bernie

One last thing! To complete this thread. Have i said that we, here in Germany, have a special day to celebrate SAMS? The SAMStag (= SAMS day = saturday). Yeah, that's how we are - we Germans! lol, Walther

That's a funny thread. Loved the SAMS, too. (30 years "young"). Anyone seen the movie last year? That was fun, too. A friend of mine who tailors diving suits is going to make some for the sequel "Das SAMS 2" which will be in the movies in Germany next fall. :)
