Subject: I have a figure parenting technical question.

Hi Folks,

After one sets the figure parenting hierarchy for objects or actors in a scene, is there a way to turn it off?
I set figure parenting for objects so I could move them all at once and now I need to resize the parent; when I do everything resizes. I've tried to set the "universe" as parent for the children in an effort to turn it off, but it didn't work.
I couldn't find any reference to this in the manual, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Larry

I think you can set GROUND as the parent. Should work fine after that.

Sometimes it works best to simply delete the parent. Poser will then automatically redefine the children so they are free-floating. You can bring the parent back in, by itself.

That's exactly what I did Ockham. I was lucky in that it was a simple primitive to delete and replace. That eventually solved it; but, it seems like a work-a-round. I wonder how tough it would be if it was complex. Thanks
