I'm trying to make this fountain-type thing, and I think I've been staring at it too much, so I need other opinions. So, does the falling water look like falling water?

pretty good. maybe you need a bit more foam or whatever you call it around the edges. and maybe lower the bump map ;)

Absolutely great. You will like it more once you get the surrounding rocks/stone material in there.
