Subject: People who create tutorials should PLEASE

Marque ( ) posted Tue, 18 February 2003 at 8:40 AM · edited Wed, 15 January 2025 at 2:00 PM

Accept my thanks as sometimes the manual just doesn't cut it! Those who do free and for sale models get a lot of thanks, and with good reason, but I have to give a special thank you to the folks who create the tutorials, you are great to take the time to help those of us who are just not getting the idea into our heads without a little help. Thank you, Marque

Me Too :) Thanks,... Lots of good people here!

Me too with brass knobs on. Free models are great - but understanding how stuff works - and even being able to do it yourself - it infinately more pleasing. Well, nearly :)

I'll add my thanks...especially for those impromtu tutorials I find on these threads. It is wonderful when people share their expertise and so greatly appreciated.

Online Now!

I agree. Thanks to the artists with great skill of not only learning the stuff, but Simplifying it so we can understand it and then sharing it with us.

Hear, hear! Not all of us are fortunate enough to have been blessed with computer geek-ness as well as artsy-ness, and without those tutes, we would be shut out of so much that Poser can do.... <<(((huge hugs)))>>

I applaud you folks also... big time Thank You tutorial folks and those who help with specifics in this chat room. Just reading some of the threads where folks help others has given me answers and ideas of what can be done. You have taken a programmer and allowed her to become "artistic" and that is a big 'un! Big time thanks to you all

You can add my thanks too! Just this morning a dear person answered one of my lame questions at length in an IM to me. Thanks to all of you!

My idea of rebooting is kicking somebody in the butt twice!

I'll join in; many thanks to Tutorial writers (and in many cases, Tutorial Renderer's)! Definitely an invaluable service to the community with only the occasionally thanks to make it worth it. Well, here's another one: Thanks!

Thanks from me too - I have learned SO much from tutorials - and they're a pain in the behind to write - I know, I've tried, and failed!

Amen to that! If it weren't for some of Dr. Geep's tutorials, I'd be in "Poser Lights Hell" right now! --silver

For anyone who wants to talk with the writers we're over in the writers forum. Trying to explain how to do a technique or how a button works is one of the things we do along with poems, stories, challenges and whatnot. You're all welcome to visit lots of good things to read here.

And if people have ideas for tutorials, but want help in writing them down or need help in editing, come on over! We have a talented bunch.

Cheers!
