I echo the sentiments above. Please let us know how things are going and as Moe said, lets us know if there's something we can do. And don't worry, we'll try really hard to be good while you're not around. Well, as long as Cyn doesn't start poking me in the arm with her finger. Or does that thing she does with brocolli...oh man.... -=>Donald
Thanks all. I can breathe a little now, but there's still so much to do. My guitarist is out of danger now (and so are the other 3 injured), recovering from successful brain surgery. (They had to drill a hole to drain the clots and shyte.) She's conscious and communicable already. It will be a while before she plays the guitar again though. I wish I could say the same for the others, but one girl (only 17) has been having violent episodes whenever conscious. The other one is being kept alive by meds and a respirator. She is suffering from multiple skull fractures. She needs a miracle. :-( The guys in the beemer are in custody, awaiting fiscal's decision whether they should be granted bail or not. (The f*ker tried to run away and resist arrest during apprehension.) The case is now handled by the University Legal Office. I've been taking care of press releases and public appeals, and so far we've received positive news. Witnesses are giving statements, photos and an aftermath video are now with authorities. It's all over the news now. We are really hoping for swift justice for these victims. Thanks for all the prayers and support. (They seem to be working, the way things are turning out in general.) Will be popping back again soon with, hopefully, better news. I love this forum. (

Some guy witnessed the event and took pictures. Sorry a lot of it is written in the local tongue, but the pics will tell the story anyways. The students waited a long time for the ambulance to arrive that they had to make makeshift stretchers from planks and stuff. The last few pics were of the suspects. (Two of them, the ones with the heads cropped off, were able to run away. They were four in the car, apparently. It's just unfortunate that the guy who was taking the pics was pretty shaken, he missed taking pics of the faces.) Only for those who have the stomach. :-( (*This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. Our own cookies make user accounts and other features possible. Not really a vacation. Far from it, actually. :-( Spent the last 12 hours crying and running around the last 2 hours writing e-mail to friends and various mailing lists. (It's 7 am here, please forgive my distraught little head.) As some of you already know, I also manage an all-girl rock band. Last night they were organizing a gig cum contest for amateur bands at the girls' dorm parking lot at the Univ when a drunken freak rammed his black BMW right smack into the registration booth, injuring 6 people, including my 19-year old guitarist. She's up for surgery now, for hematoma found in the brain. Two other victims are still in critical condition, both are already in a coma I think. Been running around 2 hospitals and rounding up witnesses to file a criminal case against the car driver (and his companions), who incidently, survived with nary a scratch. Ergo, I don't think I'll be around as much as I'd like to here. But I will be popping in once in a while to see if you guys are being nice to Michelle while I'm away. Please play nice. :-) (And pray for these kids, too, while you're at it.) Thanks. (*
