Subject: Better quality Male faces for V3?

bmonk ( ) posted Thu, 20 February 2003 at 12:06 AM · edited Sat, 23 November 2024 at 4:08 PM

Does anyone know of some high quality Male faces for the Victoria 3 model. I was only able to find two in the marketplace, and neither set looked right to me.

How about the Daz male morph pack? There are some new morphs in that make it easier to get her to look male. And a great texture map which REALLY makes a difference.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

Those the V3 Male pack faces help, but they are still too effeminate looking. The brow ridges seem too small, lips too full, and noses too pert and rounded to give a "rugged" appearance. Granted, I have been able to fix a lot of this with the morphs, but I have never hit on anything that looks right. I was hoping someone out there had more success with this than me.

I don't wish to seem rude but isn't that what Mike is for? Or Don? I kinda saw Victoria 3's conversions as alternatives to the macho man look of Mike - therefore they would look effeminate, she is woman after all. Hope this doesn't seem huffy of me, just the way I saw it. Love Elgyfu :)

With some of V3's male morphs applied and a little tweaking, I think you can get some decent "male" men out of it. You can't just load a morph and be done with it.

Commander Riker! We never knew your secret before!

LOL!!! I never realized it, he does bear a slight resemblance to Jonathan Frakes.

nice one!

Very good. That is the best I have seen yet.
You ought to put a MOR pose for that on the Marketplace.

And where did you manage to find a bearded texture for V3, or is that something you created?

Check out RDNA's Sebastian. Multiple mat MOR poses...including facial hair. Very nice look IMO. You get the whole model and clothes for $12.57 (on sale). I got him....I love him!

Well my Antonio might not be what you had in mind... standard DAZ V3 male maps. I was just trying out my randomizer on V3 and this popped out. I think he looks a litle like James Marsters

It's just dial tweaks, nothing fantastic put into that head. The real seller is the remapped Edo (StefyZZ). The beard is the one from Daz.

Here's one of the better source pics for JM attempts.

Photopium ( ) posted Thu, 20 February 2003 at 9:55 PM

I think the eyes on Male V3 aren't suited to the task. They are just too girly. I think you've gotten off to a start in the right direction, but for the nose, which is too slender/sleek. I think I will wait for Mike 3 before making any more attempts at Spike :) -WTB

lhiannan: Actually, your pic looks almost exactly like Kyle Katarn from LucasArts' Jedi Knight computer games.

Looks like I spoke too soon... Presenting "Spike" for V3 :D -WTB
