I'm not absolutely certain that Vicki and Mike work in P3---they didn't for me, but I put it down to an old computer. By the time I got the new computer, I had upgraded to P4. Hopefully, someone else will know. As for finding P3 freestuff---try going to the very beginning of the 'Rosity freestuff and you will find nearly all P3 stuff, because that's what was out back then. If I remember correctly, there were several PhilC outfits for Posette and if you go to his old site, he had alot of P3 things for free. Also try Gloria Gast's downloads at http://www.ggsposerjunction.com/poserjunction_downloads.html and also the link I'm posting---both have alot of Poser3 stuff. And welcome to your new addiction, too ;)

OK, I've forgotten, other than the transparency on Vicky's outer eyeballs, why wouldn't the figure work in P3?

Lo res Vickie 1 worked just fine for me, once I got rid of the transparent eyeball bits. So did most things you see around, especially props. Just download them and try. I only stopped using poser 3 a couple of months ago. It's tough to find things that say poser 3, but even most of Daz's freebies work in it. You spend a lot of time changing textures into the right format though so that they will work. Enjoy yourself Shanna :-)

The attached link will take you to a site that still has some good Poser3 items. At that site download the "ultramorph women1"...it's made for Poser3...filled with morphes...and is a blast to use(you'll find textures for her there also). If you find that you really like Poser,Curious Labs was offering the upgrade to Poser4 even if your Poser3 was the free version(found on several magazine cover CD's). I'm not sure if CL is still makeing good on that offer...but if they are it would be very worth while. Have fun,SWAMP

I would use Eve from MorphWorld 2 maybe... has jointing like Victoria and there is even a hiRes head version tho there are fewer morphs for that i think.

I seem to recall that Poser 3 has a limit to the number of morphs per body part, and can only use a single texture per model.

Have you tried the "search" function for this forum? The same question comes up every once in a while when another magazine tosses off a free version of Poser 3 and each time people post their P3 links there - should be a good start to digg through. Just click on search and then type Poser 3... Many of the old links don't work anymore, though, since many many sites are dead now. I know offhand of these still working URLs besides those mentioned above: Winscape 2001: Poser 3 download page at http://members.lycos.co.uk/poser3/ has models and textures GreyLight: Poser Archives http://www.greylight.com/poser.html PhilC has a nice collection http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~pcooke/graphics/examples.htm Jackie's Stuff for Poser has several old things http://www.angelfire.com/ok2/jackielwn/index.html Strike a Pose Textures has some P3 textures http://helen.poserosity.com/ Should get you started. Just try other things and most often, after clicking on the OK button of the error message I did get the things to work. Of course there might be problems especially with transparencies and textures not made for P3, you'll have to cut&paste a lot to get P4 textures matching on the P3 texture templates. Props shouldn't be to much of a problem since many of them do have an obj file which you can import easy, if the PoserProp format won't work.

I'm working on a P3-compatible Vicki at the moment; I need to put in a little more work, and get some permission to distribute some third-party stuff, before it's ready. Could somebody who knows these things confirm - is there a per-part body morph limit in P3, as well as a per-character limit? I can't seem to get P3 to show more than about 14 morphs per part on the dials - this is a real pain with Vicki's face morphs, which number about 60. When it's ready, I'll post a link on this forum first, and then put it in Freestuff if it seems to be working OK. Timescale - probably next weekend.
