i have a demo of deep paint 3d with texture weapons and raelly like the way you can texture right on the object. my problem is before i buy it is that when i import an object and texture it i have problems sending it back to poser for use.it wants to save the thing as a whole new object which is'nt right for poser.it has a save texture to photoshop which doesn't seem to work right because it locks up photoshop after it starts loading it.if anyone knows how i can import an object into this program and use it as just that(a texture for my existing object in poser)please let me know.

just save as a dp file then go in those dp files and find and rename what ever textures your looking for (only rename files when your completely done).it saves separate maps for each material group unless you merge all materials then it will save as one.i usually save a dp file for each mat group so alot of file end up getting deleted because they're blank.remapping is another story.i haven't figured out how to remap and save remapped objs for cr2 files. dp totally screws them up file sizes end up 3 times larger and conformables don't conform properly using new objs.there are good tutes at the dp site in pdf format.also some good ones here http://www.fallencity.net

Actually, I just put up a new tutorial that may solve the conforming problem for DP 3D remapped items. DP 3D screws up the group names. (I can't help with the file size. I'm too lazy to remp stuff, so I haven't looked into the issue.) I'm glad to hear my tutorials are useful. Cres

I have the same problem with MetaC's Painter 3d. Been meaning to work it out one of these days. I think remapping is a necessary step.

Crescent i think that tute may be wrong.i think i sent you the wrong obj.i had 4 or 5 copies remapped in different ways plus one that the mesh creator had corrected for me using the japanese prog "shade" hence the strange lettering.that obj actually worked fine.sorry for the screwup.
