Subject: How to backup Poser RUNTIME folder and files

I am going to format my hardrive and reinstall everything. I do not want to have to reinstall ALL of my poser stuff. What do I need to do to backup my files? Can I just copy my runtime folder to a cd, reinstall Poser, and then copy/paste my runtime folder back into the program directory? If not please advise me what to do. Thanks

I would advise making a zip file of your Runtime folder, maintain full path information. If you just copy it to a CD, depending on your OS that is, when you copy it back all the files will be read-only. As a zip file, when you nuzip it, the files will maintain their attributes. Personally, I have so much stuff in my Poser 4 folder, many folders of pz3's, I would have to start at Poser 4, not Runtime.
