I'm trying to make an image where the figure is partially textured but also part gridlines(mobius effect?). If anyone could help out with how to do this in photoshop or bryce it would be greatly appreciated.

Render with 2 different textures. The 1st a gridline set-up. The 2nd your intended texture. Using Photoshop, or similar paint editor, fade between the 2 images on seperate layers.

Your welcome :> If you have the ability to manipulate channels, setup an alpha channel with a greyscale of your gridline version. It will be easier to see edges and be able to paint on a gradient in the area you want to fade, then use the alpha to drive the fade effect. If you use layers, make copies so you don't destroy your original images, then hide them as you erase the areas you want to fade.
