hahaha. I downloaded a few and have made some qtvr panos where you can look around and zoom. Unfortunately, most are too big for practical reasons. This one is the right siz tho...4.5 mbThis site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. Our own cookies make user accounts and other features possible. Well, these guys are offering free maps of planet earth that are so ridiculously big....its just stupid. Here's an exmaple of the biggest; Eastern Hemisphere 21,600 by 21,600 pixels (1km) (400 MB TIFF) That's right, 400mb. These monsters are only available upon request. Well, I'm gonna request, see what happens, lol. BUT, they have lower resolution versions that you can download right now at that link, that are still big and beautiful. (8196x4096 in tiff, and 2048x1024 in tiff and jpg's) FYI, for use in 3D you want the bottom textures. ("Land Surface, Shallow Water, and Shaded Topography") And, I assume you would wrap them spherically. Enjoy! AgentSmithContact Me | Gallery | Freestuff | IMDB Credits | Personal Site
