Subject: Concord Navy - 1st look!

This is my current idea for the Concord Naval Officer uniform.

Concord Navy is the next in the Concord Series (Pathfinders was the 1st).

I am doing the V3 version 1st. When I am happy with it, I will move on to the catsuit and bodysuit versions.

There will be officers and enlisted uniforms, and some cariations. The package should end up about as big as Pathfinders.

Comments? Opinions?

I was thinking of something like this for Enlisted personnel.

Here is an alternate officers uniform. I was considering having both versions, and one set would be for an elite naval cadre.

What do you think?

Here is the alternate enlisted uniform.

Shouldn't they be purple? :P(yeah I'm keepin the day job no worries) They look great. With all the troops your amassing, how about a PSD or PSP burns, rips n tears package similar to your ensignias. All these troops can possibly stay clean all the time :P Love your stuff, your keepin this SciFi buff happy.

Gorodin ( ) posted Thu, 27 February 2003 at 12:46 AM

MC, that's not a bad idea! Mind you, I don't know if I will have time, but I'll definitely keep it in mind.

Gorodin ( ) posted Thu, 27 February 2003 at 12:47 AM

BTW, who has purple uniforms?

SydneyKeys ( ) posted Thu, 27 February 2003 at 1:17 AM

Ohh..........very nice! How about a shore patrol texture set with white or black and white checkered accents like the UK police use. You know those Navy boys...........you need to keep an eye on them when they are not working. They would also be useful for scifi prison settings.

RealDeal ( ) posted Thu, 27 February 2003 at 2:11 AM

That's a REALLY cool idea! I'm not planning on going V3 though; will a V1/2 version be available? Or is that even a issue?

Gorodin ( ) posted Thu, 27 February 2003 at 2:45 AM

This set will include versions for V3, V2 Catsuit, and Mike's Bodysuit.

Gorodin ( ) posted Thu, 27 February 2003 at 2:46 AM

SK, can you point me at a reference pic? I don't know what you are talking about.

SydneyKeys ( ) posted Thu, 27 February 2003 at 3:22 AM

Shore Patrol is just thr Navy version of the army MP's. White belts, accents (boots, white sleeves maybe) and shoulder brassard that reads SP here is the only image I could find this morning........I'm up against the clock. http://www.users.vance.net/grayarea/1083%20dressed.jpg In the past the UK officers would have a checkered band around there hats, and I thought a verticle stipe down the left or right of the tunic front might work,.......here is a link....sorry it's not better but again, I'm racing time this morning. http://www.surrey.police.uk/areaitem.asp?artid=1722 Cheers- Gail

How about something like this for the Shore Patrol?

Oooh these are fabulous!!! You truly are a master at texturing :) I really like the shore patrol.

I almost forgot, there's sweater versions of these as well.

All 5 major types get a sweater variation. These sweaters are similar in style to the Pathfinders sweaters, but the cut and paneling is different.

So that's 12 different maps for v3 in this package. Pathfinders had 7.

Gorodin ( ) posted Thu, 27 February 2003 at 12:35 PM

I guess I'll start on the catsuit and bodysuit versions now for Mike and V2. They will have all the styles you see here, as well as short sleeve and crew-neck variations, similar to Pathfinders.

Laurie S ( ) posted Thu, 27 February 2003 at 12:35 PM

Very very cool!

MachineClaw ( ) posted Thu, 27 February 2003 at 2:10 PM

Concord grape=purple, Concord Navy (blue)=scifi troops, sorry was a horrible stupid joke about color. How many sets of these are there going to be in the end? Pathfinders, Navy.... and what IS the story of the Concord military? It's got me intregued, I've already started making a "Crew" and story line, but if there is a 'concord mythos' I'd like to know. All these sets are really amazing, I'm gunna have to get all the sets of textures. Great work.

Gorodin ( ) posted Thu, 27 February 2003 at 4:43 PM

Other Concord sets I am currently commited to building: -Army -Merchant Marines -Research & Development / Medic Corps Once those are done, I may consider a Concord Civil Services pack and a Concord Civilians pack, unless I get a better idea.

SydneyKeys ( ) posted Thu, 27 February 2003 at 5:36 PM

The shore patrol is right on the money. I'll add on some white boots and a stunner of some kind and we'll be good to go. This set is as sharp as the first, I can't wait to see how they render. When you have these done, and add in your Mike and Vicki Scifi Adventurer and Rouge suits, you will have enough garments for an enitre universe of renders, Sailors, pirates, civilians and everything in between.......I'm very impressed.
