Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 07 11:07 am)
Of course, to use the Python solution, you would have to have either Poer 4 Pro or Poser 5, as Python doesn't work in plain old Poser 4.03. But there are loads of useable python scripts (in free stuff) to delete lights, change them or do all sorts of nifty things with them. And yes, deleting existing lights before adding a new lightset is a good idea in general.

if you have Poser 4.03 but not Propack or Poser5 you can use the Python scripts, you need to install Python seperately from poser, v1.52 is the version you need for P4.Wow, C1rcle :o) I didn't know you could load Python script for Poser outside Poser :o) This must be great news for all the peeps on P4 (or perhaps not news L Perhaps I'm the only one who didn't know :o} )

See if I can phrase tthis right. Lets say you have the default lights there are three of them in the light control panel. You click on a light preset of say a four light setup. Three lights are replaced by the four and you see just four lights in the control panel thats ok. I notice sometimes when I click a light preset instead of the 3 lights being replaced by the 4, that it just turns off the 3 and adds the 4 to it. Now there are 7 lights total with 3 off and the new 4 on. This only happens with certain light presets(ie ones downloaded from the web) Like one that I have are 8 light setups and if I try say 3 of them I wind up with 24 lights in the control panel. Why is this how can I stop it?
