Subject: Mirroring a morph for another body part?

I am doing a few morphs for Michael and I know there is a program called morph mirror for the PC but I am on a Mac and am not sure if it would do what I want it to do anyway. What I want to do is morror the morph I make on the right leg to the left. Is there anyway to do that without moving the leg over etc. It has the same geometry but I know in the past when I loaded a morph from the other leg by accident it tried to move that leg over in space and just looked weird. Any ideas on how to do leg to leg transfer? Thanks in advance

heyas; mt mirror is free, so give it a shot. (on an emulator or whatever, is that what you mean?) it doesn't always work. i think you need to put the two leg pieces into one obj file (without the other pieces), and you can't have overlapping vertices (the seams, which is why you can only have one body part). and.... then i think you need to have both legs in your morph. that is, the one you morphed, and the other one you want to transfer it to. if your modeller can do mirrored stuff, it would be easier to do both legs at once in there.

Thanks .. Was just checking to see if I could do it easy. The program I am using does symmetry (I think) but you can't bring in the legs like as a morph in poser and I am not sure it would work that way for the actual symmetry. I am just learning ZBrush so it is kind of clunky anyway. But thanks

I asked a util maker if he could add body part to body part morph mirroring functionality to his app and he said that P5 had it built in. There are three ways to fix your problem if you cant get the PC mirror prog to work and you dont have P5. 1. Load the morphed object into a 3D prog, slice of and save each body part separately. (you should know how to do this anyway, sins you need it for more complex multi body part morphs) 2. Morph only one side, copy the finished morph in the cr2 over to the other body part and Change the X value deltas from + to and vice versa (X * -1). 3. Wait for me to finish my full obj to morph injection app that morphs all the bodyparts included in a obj and exports finished morph injection files. (But then again, its PC only. Beta soon.)

heyas; well... wouldn't just changing all the x coordinate polarity on the one leg give you the other? on the morph target obj, i mean. (not that there's an easy way to do THAT, either.) i'm not sure changing the delta x polarities will really work. will it??

Changing the polaritie works, deltas are displasment only, they don't know where they are in the 3D world.
