Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 03 12:46 am)
STill not finding the solution, but.... Started a new computer, fresh install of EVERYTHING. got to the poser area, put in poser loader, it failed but brought up a error saying that comdlg32.ocx could not be found. This is a part of the Visual Basic runtime that for some reason is never included with the runtime... go figure. Anyway, after registering comdlg32.ocx poser loader started working perfectly, up until 3 days ago, when it started acting EXACTLY like it did on my old system, including allowing me to install props but nothing else. Very, very weird. and yes, i removed it and re-added, all that crap.

about every 2 or 3 months I ask this question...
Wolfies poser loader (and poser extractor) are awesome FREE utilities for poser file management; loader allows you to unzip a freestuff file into a folder, point poser loader at it, and it'll put stuff where it's supposed to be. It even has objaction mover built in, and will do some neat stuff with .pz3 files also.
However, for almost the last year (wow.) it hasn't worked for me except for on prop files. I set up a dummy file directory structure on another computer, and use it over the network, then copy stuff back over...
But it's still frustrating. anyone have ANY idea why it's doing this? When I do a character / hair etc file when it brings up the "choose a directory" screen, there is nothing there.
