Per your request, the color and specualrity maps I used on REMC's Scout figure. The color map worked just fine as the bump, so I didn't bother making a seperate one. Screen shot should explain all, any other questions, don't hesitate. AgentSmith

Thanks AS

Ironically the texture is intended for another one of REMC's models.

You're welcome. Lol, I love messed up metal, AND especially REMC's figures. Btw, both A and B channel are scaled up to 2%. And, I'm sure this texture will have to be tweaked depending on the scene. I usually use diffusion and reflection as the main variables, blah, blah. ;o) AS

Hey, just because the example is right here..I know it is probably simple but, how do I get two channels to work for one attribute? Like you did for Bump height in the screen shot above? Clicking one turns off the other for me...I've tried shift clicking, alt clicking, nothing...

AgentSmith ( ) posted Tue, 04 March 2003 at 2:42 PM

Ctrl+clicking will do it. But (unfortunately), if for example you had 3 channels going, you couldn't Ctrl+Click channel A and C only, bypassing B, it won't let you do that. (that I know of) So if you do something like that, you have to kinda plan it out in advance and place the maps in a ceratin order, so you can have a bump generated from the two channels you want. AS

Thanx for the texture AgentSmith. How about a quicky tut on how you paint them?

Actually, this one is just a heavily tweaked & colored digital camera photo. BUT, I do have a tutorial, I had started a while back on how to do weathered, seamless metal in Photoshop/Bryce, using just filters, no painting (talent) required, lol. I'll have to jump back on that, finish it up. It's a technique I used to make the metal for a robot (Bolo200) I made in Bryce. AS
