in the animation i am presently making, i have an object that i want to constantly do the same thing, move to and fro (a floating blob made in the metabal modeler along with three satalite blobs). is there a way for me to have just that action repeating continuously, or do i have to move each and every reppetition. -dthrm

Just go into the sequencer and click on the tweener. In the properties tray you can change the type of tweener.

You can choose the Oscillate tweener. Set the number of oscillations to the number of times you want the tweener to repeat. Make sure that upPhase is set to 50.

You could also copy your keyframes in the timeline, so you don't have to go back and manually reposition the shape in the metaball modeler.

If you have the Cognito plugin you could put it on a piston motion. Advantages? More than 30 repatitions, you can vary the rate and stroke length and you can sync it with any other regular actions.
