Let me first say that this is a great logo! Good work. I really like the changing color surounding the logo! Maybe since it is called "Iron Forum" you should have the logo look a bit more iron like...a bit more metallic. Have some of rust around the edges...but I'm not sure what that will look like. I like the weight you have in the middle of the logo which goes well with the name (obviously), but try making the weight silver. It would especially look good with a black background. Something about the bevel makes the logo look like leather. Am I the only one who sees that? Hmm...oh well. It is late in the day and I am beginning to see things. These are just my quick thoughts and it is, like I said, late in the day so I can't give much thought into it right now...but good work and good luck! Adam
looks really good (i prefer the black background), but.... the "IRON FORUM" should have a metallic (silver/grey)look. the weight is cool but should be a bit lighter (silver is a good idea, but darker than the letters then) The button itself is great but the bevel is disturbing, at least in this color. all in all i think you should make a black/white picture of this one and see the result... my 2 cents Karsten
Nice job. You have a very sculpted look to the logo. However, the gradient blend in the words really works against that because it's so flat. Move the acutal gradient to a different layer and create a displacment map from the words. Then apply to the gradient. It will 'wrap' the gradient to the shape. Personal bias: I've always disliked the ochre color of the photoshop horizon. Maybe a color tweak? :) If you haven't been there, check out http://xenia.mit.edu/axc/index.cfm for some great metal effect actions in a searchable database. Good work, keep it up! Mark
