This is what I bought poser for. The project I'm working for a indie film. Just a quick first render, first time to really mess with poser beyond throwing a couple of models and default poses into a scene. Yes, Vicki is default in this, no morphs applied. And I'm a little sick of seeing cool coils on poser renders, so I suppose I'll be changing that too. Maybe not, who knows. Anyway, FWIW, here it is.

looks great... i kinda trail off into a copyright rant here though... lol fyi, beware of using vicki for your film... though i dont know what kinda lisencing fee is associated with the initial purchase of that model, if any. if you plan on getting any type of revenue directly associated from your film, from the use of vicki, the creator would most likely want compensation. unless theyve signed away all rights to that model. dont use any props or models other than what you can make yourself... beter safe than sorry... and you wont have to worry about paying people later or dealing with any lawsuits. (unless you have a budget to legally garnish the rights to use a particular prop or model) i dont have any purchased models so im not familiar with the general fair-use policies. just fyi...

TSCP's comments are interesting, but most products come with fairly clear information about what use is covered in the product and what is not. Generally purchased products come with a license to use the product but not to distribute the mesh. Unless specifically listed in that document, use in a movie wouldn't be prohibited. Unless you're talking about a huge budget project with the potential to make much money, I'd simply read the use / copyright documents that came with the products, and stick to my understanding of them. I agree about the cool coils!

According to the DAZ license agreement, I can use Vicki in any way I see fit as long as I don't sell or provide the mesh to anyone else. In other words, and 2d creation I make on Film/Video with Vicki is perfectly within the Terms of Use inside the License. Here is the issue point: 4. GENERAL RESTRICTIONS AND TERMS OF USE. The 3-D Model(s) may be copied in whole or in part for User's exclusive use. Unauthorized copying of the 3-D Model(s) is expressly forbidden. User expressly agrees to include DAZ 3D'S (and third parties, if any) copyright notice(s) and proprietary interest(s) on all copies of the 3-D Model(s), in whole or in part, in any form, including data form, made by User in accordance with this Agreement. The 3-D Model(s) is provided for User's exclusive use. User does not have the right to provide the 3-D Model(s) to others in any form or on any media. Specifically, you (the User) may copy the 3-D Model(s) onto the storage device of an unlimited number of computers; provided that all such computers are physically located at your business, or if you are a residence, your place of residence located at a single specific street address (or its equivalent). You may (i) access, use, copy and modify the 3-D Models stored on such computers at such single location in the creation and presentation of animations and renderings which may require runtime access to the 3-D Model(s), and (ii) incorporate two dimensional images (including two dimensional images that simulate motion of three dimensional objects) derived from the 3-D Model(s) in other works and publish, market, distribute, transfer, sell or sublicense such combined works; provided that you may not in any case: (a) separately publish, market, distribute, transfer, sell or sublicense any 3-D Model(s) or any part thereof; or (b) publish, market, distribute, transfer, sell or sublicense renderings, animations, software applications, data or any other product from which any original 3-D Model(s), or any part thereof, or any substantially similar version of the original 3-D Model(s) can be separately exported, extracted, or de-compiled into any re-distributable form or format. Subject to the foregoing limitations, and the rights, if any, of third parties in or to the objects represented by the 3-D Model(s), you may copy and distribute your animations and renderings derived from the 3-D Model(s).
