Subject: gradient transparency

what I'm trying to do is blend two layers across a gradient applied in quick masking mode so that one layer fades into the other. This should be easy but I can't seem to find a transparency adjuster.Thanks

just hit the layer mask button in the layer pallate, then do the gradient.

yeah, i dreaded learning masks... until i did it...
