Not sure why the post was deleted. Anyway, here is the link that was given to me, and it worked like a charm!Hey Forester.. I'll bet you're able to put together some excellant leaf and bark map packages. If you should decide to offer something like that (in the store, or as a freebie), I'll be first in line for it. Seems like there's always a tree or shrub I want to make, but can't find growing in my neighborhood. :)
DigReal, I can do this easily, true. Didn't know anyone would want such a thing. Why don't you send me an e-mail (sprucefir@earthlink.net) and give me some more information about what you want. (Hardwood forests, western conifers, western rainforest, or something like that.) I have tons of stuff I've shot for my own purposes, and stuff I've collected all over the US. Also, I have access to a lot of things. Most of my career was in the western us, rockies, british columbia and alaska, but I've got a trip to Wisconsin coming up next weekend, too. I could shoot some hardwoods.
Can never have too many trees:) Actually, there was a version of XFrog available for free with a Magazine (cd). I have that one, but haven't had time to learn to use it. As for leaves and bark, I would expect there to be a huge interest in some nice pictures, especially since some plants don't grow but in very specific regions of the world. Perhaps we can all come together and post photos of leaves from our little areas of the globe? Lots of dogwoods and such around here! Anyone want photos of poison ivy:) eric

I recently bought XFrog, and want to add trees I created into Vue. I did several of the tutorials, in particular the Norse Spruce tutorial, and want to see how it looked in Vue. I imported the model, and it looks pretty good, except that the needles are squares. I know that XFrog had me use a texture map for the needles. How would I get Vue to show the tree correctly, or can I? I also tried it in Carrara with the same results.
