hi, can somebody send me a link for a tutorial or explain to me in simple terms how to apply a rendered alpha chanel from max in photoshop ? i need to fix two render layers together and i never did it. would be great to get some help Georges

hm...may be i do something wrong.. i've rendered the back ground and my Laura in two seperate task's. i used the alpha chanel with the Laura render. after import the backgroundrender-alpha chanel-Laurarender i don't know how to make it work in p-shop. it is simply not transparente. the alpha chanel is perfect..pure black.. but it does not give me the transparency as it should. guess i have to hit a bottom somewhere.. thanks for help Georges

The alpha-channel of a max-render is only saved with certain formats. If you save in TIF-Format, the channel will be part of the file. Saving as JPEG, BMP or something similar will not transfer the Alphachannel. Joerg
