Looks like DAZ is down? Temporary or major problem? Anyone know.....or is it just my dumb ISP?

pokeydots ( ) posted Thu, 13 March 2003 at 6:07 PM

Isn't it funny.....when they're not there, is when we get frantic to buy! Maybe it's a marketing strategy: Disappear for awhile......get 'em frantic......come back on line.....watch the sales surge!! :)

sparrowheart ( ) posted Thu, 13 March 2003 at 6:14 PM

They know us TOO well. LOL

milamber42 ( ) posted Thu, 13 March 2003 at 6:36 PM

Could be a DNS problem somewhere. When I try to ping or run a trace route, I get an unknown host error. DAZ may not even know there is a problem.

lol poor things, their server must be burning hehehe.

It is back up now, and Hey, my shoe set is up, Gee!

BluesPadawan ( ) posted Thu, 13 March 2003 at 10:13 PM

I saw your shoe set late last night Jim and started drooling, but with just getting laid off a couple of weeks ago, the only purchases I am making right now are voucher purchases...but I'm drooling for them!

BluesPadawan ( ) posted Thu, 13 March 2003 at 10:16 PM

Well, sh*t...finally got into the download area for the animedolls update, and all I get is a Parent Directory, with no file...this is indeed getting a bit frustrating!!

PheonixRising ( ) posted Thu, 13 March 2003 at 10:20 PM

If you have P5 then look for the face folder in your runtime library. You can move the face poses into your pose directory if you want. if you need to you can right-click and rename .fc2 to .pz2 without any conflicts. If you don't have P5 and this isn't the problem let me know. Actually send me an email either way so I know. :) Anton daz3d.com "So many versions of Poser...so little time. :)"

Anton..... I first noticed things last night when the folder did not even show up in the faces directory at all. I am running Pro Pack. Now, my problem is that I can get into the DAZ download area for the updates, put in my handydandy username and password, and I get taken to a Parent Directory with NOTHING IN IT!

pokeydots ( ) posted Thu, 13 March 2003 at 10:44 PM

BluesPadawan same thing for me! parent directory no file :(

We will be patient....ummm, right. Seriously, DAZ with all the new stuff was bound to make a mistake somewhere. Oh by the way, the wam.htm file in the Wild and Messy Conforming Haircut needs to be updated. Check out the third paragraph.
