Subject: Poser 4 files in Poser 5

Can anybody please explain to me about how to use my old Poser 4 characters, poses, etc., in Poser 5? Do I need to reinstall everything, or move my directories around?

No you do not have to do anything... Just attach to your old Runtime directory... I forget where the option is, I had a tough time finding on my own at first. Works like a charm. e.d.

Thanks! After stumbling around for awhile, I finally figured out how to do this. While I easily found the "Add Runtime" option, whenever I navigated to the Poser 4 Runtime folder and clicked on it, all I got in Poser 5 was an empty folder. Whenever I went to a specific library (say, "DAZ People"), I got another empty folder named "DAZ People" or whatever I was trying to add. Finally, when I clicked on "Libraries", I had success; ALL the folders from my Runtime folder were added. This feature alone is worth the price of Poser 5 to me, because it was terribly difficult to keep track of all my folders under Poser 4. After playing around with it all day, I have even found some folders I was missing before. Guy
