Importing Poser figures has always been a bit tricky, but once you get used to the routine, it's not a huge deal. Two things; Poser figures (and other random .obj's) will sometimes not import into Bryce properly, meaning you will get an error message about bad data, etc. This is easily fixed. The textures (information) that go onto Poser figures don't like to import into Bryce along with the obj, so that will need help also. Fortunately to fix both problems I always suggest a freeware program called "Grouper", you can find it at the link. Read up on it at that page, it will help fix almost all your problems. AgentSmith

Also, the same guy that made Gouper is working on another freeware program that will allow users to import lighting setups from Poser directly for use into Bryce. I've been testing it, and so far it looks great. AS

Do I install grouper into my bryce folder or as its own application? Also I noticed when using bryce sometimes when I use a second window like the materials window to edit my pic when I get through and close the materials window my main cameraobject window doesnt show up all the way.The materials window acts like it didnt close and blocks my view. Could an update possibly fix this, i hope? Thanks for the killer link to grouper.

As it's own application. Usually minimizing the exsisting window, and then maximizing it back up usually did the trick for me. But if you don't have the Bryce 5.01 patch/update thing you should get it and apply it. Take link to get it, if you need it. AgentSmith

This without a doubt has been asked here more times than I care to inquire about. How do I not only import poser 4 obj's into bryce, but make them look decent enough to be proud of? Also, are ther any kick ass tutorials on bryce 5 ? Coming from poser 4 , bryce 5's a little wierd and tricky to get used to compared to poser. None the less I like it and after seeing 9 out of 10 (excellent) pieces of art in the gallery as being produced using poser/bryce combo's....I had to buy it. I dont regret it one bit. That damn corel though, pricey piece of software isnt it? Thanks in advance for some tutorial links and keep rendering. I love this site.
