Honestly I like them both. I love the first one with the lights zipping by. The second I like the clarity of the railing on the overpass. Perhaps if you mask them together for both those elements? Alot of work but it looks like you got the exact view on each (aren't tripods great?). The issues in the world had me working on images too. Have to do something to try and forget what is about to happen, even if it is just for a few moments... Magick Michael
What about one of the third or fourth ones. I agree the second one hass TOO much blur of the train and it looks like background. The second is neat. But I thought it would look better if one could see the train better. Have you tried selecting everything BUT the train lights and lightening. I think it would bring out the details. That and get rid of the street lights. I suppose thoe bother me. But that's just me. Bsteph

Im lucky enough to have a train out back beyond my property. Lucky because we actually enjoy the occasional loud occurrences of a passing train, and this time of year we actually get to see them. But as the leaves sprout (already started), the visual element greatly diminishes. Tonight I took two open shutter shots of a passing train (actually 4, but 2 of them sucked), but couldnt decide on which of the two I liked best because there were different elements from each one that took my fancy. This is the first shot. So my question tonight (although there are far more important worldly issues going on as I type this) is, which one is the better photograph? If you think neither deserve gallery posting, well, thats OK too. I can take it. I was just killing some spare time when I grabbed my camera. Anyway, the only difference is the trains, and there are more on the way (I can hear the distant whistle now) Seriously though, I would think preference comments should be interesting and informative from people who really know their shyte (dats youse guys)! Thanks much! marshall
