I've used a few programs in my day but nothing really compares to what ZBrush can create as far as abstract art is concerned...I think it would be a good idea to have a ZBrush or abstract gallery...somewhere you can post something that's not 100% 'photorealistic' and not have to worry about having a lower ranking because of that..i donno..just a suggestion.

Syro, stop worrying about posting things that are not 100% photorealistic. Its time to move the general galleries in other directions (to keep things fresh)--maybe it will spur those who don't have a need to to photorealism to post in the galleries. We don't need to subdivide the galleries further to isolate artists who want to do something different. Who cares about ranking--pioneers don't always get rave reviews, no one has the right to tell you how to do an image but you. Maybe you'll take some flack at first--but someone needs to pave the way for others to follow.

good points. i'm new to renderosity, but not to 3d art itself...it just seemed that the more 'real' an image was, the more liked it was...tending to sway my perception of what is 'good' or not..i donno if that makes any sense heh but...well it was just me throwing a thought out...keeping things fresh sounds good ;)

Dreamspinner has been doing some very popular "abstract" 3D art. Do what your heart tells you to do, and share it with us.

when you go to the list of galleries we do have one entitled "other Apps". which is perfect for such as ZBrush. ya just need to remember that there are those who hit "all galleries" and will see your work in whatever gallery you post and will comment on it. as for the comment issue, please read my thoughts on that within the the thread below entitled "Gallery Moderators" thanks ed
