Hello. I am at the novice level, and know that tech books are fairly expensive, but before spending $50 on the "Poser 4 Handbook" if someone could give me a review, and tell me wheater of not it is worth the price. Thanks in advance, Regards, George

Hang out here in the forums first, you might learn more ;) I,personally, referred to the manual only in the first week because after that I found this place. Just ask and someone will be glad to help you. For starters check this out: http://www.crosswinds.net/~vladt/poser/faq/faq.htm and the tutorials link on the right. As for the handbook, since I don't have it I can't really say if it's worth it.

I spent the money on the Poser 3 Handbook, then was so turned off by the renderings that I did not find aesthetically pleasing at all, that I never used it, since I could not quite figure out how to read it with my eyes closed ;P I learned all I know here, and through trial and error and brute force and awkwardness.

I wish I hadn't spent the money on the poser 4 handbook. Like the others have said, I learned more from this forum and the web than I got out of this book. It would great if someone would do a book that focused on tips and tutorials for the type of images people are creating here.
