Subject: Make things UNDO,...

is there a UNDO function like Ctrl+Z for several steps? This undo function is only for one step back. What if I want to go more than one step back/undo? I know there are Pose dots, but it`s not the same. Or am I wrong? What is your favourite way to make things undo in Poser5? Please let me know. Thanxx sophie

No undo in Poser. Sometimes not even a one-step undo :o( depending on what you just did. One of the MAJOR quirks in Poser. Best thing to do is to save and save and save.... before you do anything important. Also ALWAYS save before hitting Render. Usually IF poser hangs itself it will be while rendering. Just a peice of advise :o)

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

If we wouldn't have asked again and again for a multiple undo in Poser - wonder if it would be so difficult to include it with SR3. It sure would make life easier. But until then do as ernyoka suggested: save your scene as a Pz3 and save always before you change something.

This is yet another broken promise from the old team and another reason many old Poser users were so P.O.'d at P5. With this new team in place they may finally do something about it. Along with the many other quirks keeping Poser in the past. I believe they did promise to bring Poser up to date with today's software. And hopefully these people will keep their promises. I could be wrong though.

I agree its one of Poser's major let-downs. I just save & save & save.. but sometimes thats a pain if its a big scene and takes forever... also i tend to get carried away creating and forget to save... sometime however when poser hangs during rendering i have been able to save buy using CTRL + S and hope for the best!! ;) lol -=SimderZ=-

Let's see: Photoshop has a "History" palette to undo changes. Lightwave has "undo levels" that is user-customizable (most places say to set it to 128 levels of undo). I don't know about 3D Studio Max or Vue d'Esprit. Microsoft Word has, what, 16 levels of undo. Poser has ONE undo... and sometimes it doesn't work (such as when you change a pose). Does anyone else find this unacceptable? Well, maybe Poser 6 will have it... if there is a Poser 6, that is. With all of the problems of the Poser 5 release, we should probably give up on asking about any new features and concentrate on hoping that CL doesn't go out of business.

Vue d'Espirit only have one undo level, as does Carrara 1.0 for sure. Using pose dots sure could bring things back to a former posed state if you screwed up. I wish Poser 5 had multiple undos, but it doesn't and I'm skeptical if it will in the near future. As for a P6, who can say? Hopefully Daz Studio was have mulitple undos, if Daz has been listening to what Poser users want in an application they should include it. The basic Daz Studio is supposed to be free, but there will be modules added to functionality. I hope I won't have to buy a undo module when the program comes out.

LOL! Where were YOU guys when I was getting slammed for pointing this sad fact out about Poser 5 ... and a whole host of other attrocities. At least none of you are the hyprocrits who blasted me for speaking out about the complete letdown that is Poser 5. Such is life ... :) -Tim
