This is the Peach Haze Sky after a bit of poking. If you look at the sky presets you can see that nothing is actually colored that pinky peach that is saturating some of the clouds. Where is this color coming from? = )

If you increase the altitude of the sun, I bet they will go away.... Just one of the odd things bryce does. If that doesn't work, I've heard good things about burning black candles and rattling chicken bones.

Suspects for this behaviour would be the "Blend Haze/Fog Color/Luminance with Sun" in the Sky Lab.

I'm with Bladesmith on this one. Your sun is very low in the sky. Lower it even more and the entire sky will turn redder.

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

Like this... This is the default Bryce sky with the sun lowered manually as far as it will go without bringing up the moon.

And it's really not that weird a behavior. In the real world, sunrises and sunsets turn the sky red.

Speaking of unexpected behavior, in the material presets, why is the one labelled "dreams of xanades lake" transparent?

Odiemanc ( ) posted Sat, 22 March 2003 at 4:54 PM

Well moving the sun worked, but down but not up. Where is that preset?

Roch222 ( ) posted Sat, 22 March 2003 at 5:54 PM

I think its just called Xanades lakes in the water section Unless theres another one ? PS Mines not that transparent .. Maybe you tweaked yours and saved it under the original name?

antevark ( ) posted Sun, 23 March 2003 at 12:20 AM

check the complex fx section, near the bottom. it's a transparent reddish.

This is Xanades. What are you using the material with?

this one...

I'm glad you're asking this question here, but I'm not entirely sure of your answer. Is there a Xanades sky, with this material in the sun. Have you seen an entire snene named Xanades? There may lay our answer.
