Just playing around with a quick image. The FOV is intentional. The left one is more finished, but I think the lightning is better on the right one. Which one do you think is better? The left or the right one?

I think the left one is better, but it's hard to say 'cause it's an unfinished scene...

I would deffinatly say the right

look at the doorknob(doornob?) on the right one. Perfect lighting on that one IMO

Nice work. The one on the left, with the door completely in shadow, tends to make you focus on what is beyond the door. Having the door almost entirely and so brightly illuminated as it is on the right tends to focus your attention on the door. At least that is how it works for me, but I'm strange and others may see it differently. ;-) I tend to like the one on the left because it is begging you to go beyond the door with its focus on the bright environment beyond. In a way I would like to see something inbetween the left and right images, but tending more towards the left. A little light on the inside of the door might be a good thing. Also... the shape and position of the shadow on the inside of the door in the right image really bothers me. Is the light coming form inside the room, the sun outside, or both? And just what is casting the shadow. Its all a bit muddled and unclear in effect.

I like how the lighting and contrast plays in the picture on the right.

Thanks for the input all. I think I'll use the lighting on the right one (maybe tweak it a little) deadman67 The road is just two flat squares stretched to the horizon. A tarmac like texture on the big rectangle, and a 4/5 white 1/5 transperent image texture on the small rectangle.

cybrbeast, I liked the road too, it even gave me an idea for an image :)
