The one light in your scene may be placed too close and/0r at too high a setting on the power (wrong term I think, I mean the first setting on the upper left in the light lab). This will overexpose to the point of losing shadows, sometimes. Also the individual light has to has shadows turned on in the light lab. Hope this helps.

Hello I am creating a picture and would like to get some good shadows in my picture without using sunlight. I am not very good at lighting yet and I know all of you are so thats why I have come to you for help. I dissabled sunlight so i could have a dark sky but now my 2 characters dont have shadows and it makes them look sort of weird. So what would be a good way/technique to light my scene without making it to bright, I just really want the affect of shadows without making too much glare on everything. Thx (above is a small render of my pic, sorry i was kinda short on time and had to do a quick render)
