Hello, I'm working on a Theatre Poster for a play I recently convinced a local (to me) theatre group to let me put on in our local playhouse. The play is "Communicating Doors" by Alen Auckbourne, who's name I've just misspelled. Anyway, I've got a few sketches of renders that I've done. None of them have any of the typesetting on them yet, but I'm trying to pick a version that want to continue working with. None of them are anywhere near "finished," more like initial rough sketches. Also, I finished the move of Poser 4 to the same machine as Vue 4, and it now imports perfectly, and I know why!!!! Thanks to all that helped and I'll post my discovery in a seperate message. runwolf

Here is the first picture. What I like: Room at the top and room at the bottom for information about the play. What I don't: The sceen is too small and the room looks huge. Since the play takes place in a hotel suite, that doesn't really fit the picture here.

Yuck. I don't really like this one at all.

I like the angle on this one. The play is a mystery, and this looks more dramatic than the others.

I'm not satisfied with the pose used in these three pictures, nor with the room. I don't really like the lamp at all. So there are a lot of things that I'm going to be changing, but this is a rough draft, so to speak, of my idea's so far. I'm completely open to more ideas.

I like the last idea best. You're right it does make it more dramatic. Like to see it when you get it done.

I prefer the last of the three images its definitly the most dramatic. I find the tile texture on the floor is quite distracting. Maybe a different texture or making the tiles larger would help. In the final picture the volumetric effect on the light coming round the door might benefit from being stonger. I've found a trick for doing this recently. Put a second identical volumetric light in at exactly the same spot as the original and the volumetric effect looks a lot stonger. The lamp reduces the dramatic impact of the light coming from the doorway. Personally I'd put something else in its place. Anyway just my 2 pence worth.

Me too:-) I likr the last one. I would kep the lamp, but change the ground texture to something less visible.
