Thank goodness it's not just me!! I did the Vickie update so I don't think that's it. And I haven't morphed her at all. Can someone please help who uses the Vickie model and clothes? You should d/l the update though Melanie, it's pretty cool. =) Just want her to be able to use her new clothes without having to morph them to make them fit.
I hope they do an update on them. It's one thing to "make adjustments" when you've d/l's something that someone was kind enough to put into the freestuff area, but to pay for something and then have to deal with this isn't cool. The whole idea of buying the clothes was so I could quickly throw something together and have more time to work on my project. Sigh. Thanks for letting me rant. I'm going to email Zygote and find out it they have an update in the works. Marque
I'm suspecting that because there are so many morphs on Vicky and vertices, that that affects the conforming. Paul's right--a few quick twists of the dial do it. Also--just make some invisible quickly. Since you are probably going to morph her one way or another anyhow, you will need to make small adjustments anyhow. The clothes snap to her quite well--its minor adjustments to things like the chest and collars. Guess it depends upon what you mean by 'conforming'. BTW, there's an alternative, I think. If you aren't going to take advantage of the morphing available on Vicky, maybe get the Vicky head/P4 body woman at Rena's and use the P4 clothes (BTW, haven't gotten it yet myself, but look at some of Rena's posts--looks like it works great). The Vicky clothes are just basic so nothing too new and repeats, more or less of P4's clothes--except they have these very handy trans areas. Diane B
Could it be that the people at Zygote found the standard Vicki so hurt their eyes that they had to modify her before they could work on the clothingr? I do find it slightly strange that you have to modify the figure to get the clothing to fit - ideally everything should fit to a standard updated Vicki. I did note that some of the morphs in the updated Vickie install already set to 1.000. (like smooth hips) I'm considering that "standard" on some Vicki items I'm working on.
Maybe that's the answer Jim. Check out how various areas are set on the clothes and set 'your' default Vicky to that--and work from there if you want to morph differently. I, for one, used the calves and thigh morphs in my texture with the bra, morphed very short skirt and transmapped T--I increased the leg 'musculature' to what I preferred. I did not set this as my standard because its irrelevant in pants, long skirts, etc. Diane B
Hope I'm not too late to add some info here. I also hope that you can let me know whether there are any issues with Vicki's body protruding through her clothing that I am not aware of, and which need to be fixed. There are few issues that Zygote is aware of that can cause Vicki's body parts to poke through her clothing: - Not using the final Vicki update .cr2 file. This is a free download from Zygote's site; follow the link from the front page. This latest update (check it's entitled "Vicki" and not "Victoria") alters the collar joint parameters slightly. If you put the clothing on the original Victoria .cr2 files then body parts (particularly the shoulders, forearms and wrists) can poke through the clothing. - Having the "Soften Hips" morph targets set to different values. The Vicki figure reads in and restores with a full body morph target called "Soften Hips" set to one. Corresponding "Soften Hips" morphs come on all of Vicki's clothing as the natural state. These morphs can be altered, of course, but you must be careful that the clothing and Vicki's settings correspond. If not, Vicki's hips will poke through her clothing. - Using extreme poses with skin-tight clothing items. While skin protruding is simply an inherent problem with tight-fitting conforming clothing in Poser, Zygote has tested and optimized Vicki's clothing pack so that these issues can be worked around as well as possible. (Much better than with the standard clothing items in Poser4, I might add.) Still, we know that there are many areas where a little skin will poke through the clothing in extreme poses. The most unfortunate area for this issue is typically the buttocks, which are usually best turned invisible. Also in areas like the knees or elbows, a tiny bit of skin will show through tight clothing when the joint is extreme. For these types of areas, scaling is usually sufficient. - Custom morph and scale settings. As has been pointed out above, once you've customized your Victoria model, you'll have to customize her clothing as well. - Intentional protrusions. Zygote has modeled some clothing items such that they have to be used with certain body parts invisible, even for mild poses. The boots, for example, need Vicki's foot and toe groups made invisible. These cases should be obvious. Zygote is currently working on a free update for Victoria's Clothing Pak, but the planned fixes do not currently include anything to alter protruding body parts. If there are any issues with this that are not explained or prevented by one of the above reasons, please describe them to me in detail at chad@zygote.com so that we can get them fixed in the update. Thanks for your observations and input. -Chad Smith Zygote Media Group

I don't understand, none of the clothes in the pack fit her the first time, and I mean on an unmorphed Vickie. Part of her body shows through, am I doing something wrong? I pull the model in, and add the dress, then conform it to her, and her skin shows through. Not just the dress, her other clothes do it too. =( Hellllppp! Marque
