Also, are you using a newer version of Aladdin Expander? I don't know about PC, but on Macintosh, you need to have both the freeware Expander and the shareware program Dropstuff to get Zip files to open. Dropstuff can be downloaded and tried out for free at www.aladdinsys.com. (I think the registration fee is $30 if you decide to keep it)

Hi there. Certain files I download will not unzip at all. I am using the Aladdin Expander, which will give an error message reading: "File is not in the format expected." I thought it wouldn't make a difference what kind of file it is, so long as it's in zip format. Is there something I can do -- or perhaps download -- that will recognize certain of these files? Thanks.
