Subject: Idea for the Marketplace.

Hello, I have a little gripe slash suggestion for the market. Being a minor I can't legaly view images that contain nudity (think what you want to but I don't like to look at some naked bimobo's rear end anyway) AND I like to frequent the market. So you know I have the little nudity filter on and stuff, then I go to top sellers... press the merchant button, and I see "SteffyZZ" after having heard about Yuma by steffyzz, so I say to myself well, lets check this out. His store loads up and BOOM theirs like ten TOTALY NUDE CHARACTERS that have to look at WITH the nudity filter on. I think that you guys need to tighten up so that minors (12-15)(after that they've watched HBO) arn't subjected to this. Here's an example: lets say your son wants to look at "the thwee-dee picsures" you say sure load up 'rosity and go about whatever you were doing befor and leave your son UNATENDED because the nudity filter is so "he will be OK". I just think you all here need to tighten up on the level of strictness when it comes to nudity to better protect minors!

I am sorry, but to protect them from what? As if the human body was a threat. Human body is nature, is the form in which we exist. Hatred is a threat, self-destruction is a threat, psychological traumas are threats. We as adults should really try not to pass our traumas to our children. That's what will make them healthier, not teaching them that something natural is evil or harmful or a threat. I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. This is only what I think.

Ok, We have a MINOR here asking for something to be done about the nudity he/she is having to look at WITH the nudity filter on...only to be told that it is natural, and he/she should have to look at it... Dream, if you want to parade around naked in front of YOUR children, then so be it..more power to you. But do not assume everyone in the world sees this 'nudity' issue as you do, nor assume that the laws are the same everywhere regarding minors and exposer to nudity. 'Rosity is based in the United States, and is indeed governed by it's laws, which in fact require that it take every action it can to make sure that minors are not subjected to nudity/objectional content. I would like an admin to comment on this, and I ask why the nudity filter isn't working in the top sellers...it should work for the ENTIRE site. ~Jani

Jani, I agree with you in that if you set a choice not to look at something it should work and be respected. I respect other's choices and opinions. I only commented on the "to protect them" sentence, on the whole nudity issue, not about this site or case in particular. Maybe it was a bit out of place, I apologize for that. I just felt the need to give my point of view. Cheers DreamWarrior

DreamWarrior, your opinions are respected, and I agree with you! The human body is nothing to be ashamed of and is certainly not a threat! I'm seventeen (a guy jumpstart) so I'm still technicaly a minor, but I don't have a real problem with nudity, I do have a MAJOR problem with people EXPLOITING the human body (but I won't get into that). If you load up the poser gallery with the nudity filter OFF and go to the "most viewed" listings, the top listings not only contain nudity but also what could be described as provocative poses, lighting, settings, and even title. (check UP just to name one) Now 97% of the time this is caught, IN THE GALLERIES, but, in the marketplace it is much more common to see nudity with the filter on. I just think the admins should do something so that people that don't want to look at nudity don't have to, in any part of the site.

I have the same problem, but because I'm over 50, I get flamed as a prude for mentioning it. In some cases, the nudity is being shown to present the texture, but often, clearly, it's gratuitous and without relationship to the product. I agree with you...the choice should be with the viewer. Those who want to see nudity should be able to, but those who would like to turn it off, should be able to do that too....in the galleries and in the marketplace.

Hi HackerTheQuick, Thanks for the post. I will take a look at the products in question and make sure the nudity flags are checked. Thanks for brining this to my attention. Clint

Some of the older products dont have the Nudity flag checked. I have modified the products in StefyZZ's store so the nudity flag is slected for products with nudity in them. If you have the Nudity in the Galleries? set to No in your profile you will see this image rather than the thumbnail. censor.jpg Again - Thanks for speaking up on this. Clint
