Subject: Bump maps DO work...!

After spending months trying to get my sheets and pillows looking rumpled/used in my modelling program without success, I decided to have a play with some bump maps in PPP.

And.... it works..!

Without the bump map applied the sheets and pillow are perfectly smooth.

Don't yer just l-o-v-e Poser..! :)

sweet ziggy. I still have the original one you made . I like the blue sheets better . Bump maps look great on this.

I felt the same way when I discovered displacement mapping. happy.gif

I love Bump maps-- even finer as displacement maps in P5. I wouldn't render without them. Emily

That's great ziggie! I wouldn't have thought to use a bump. What's the bump looked like? Crumpled paper?

PabloS: yes... it was the crumpled paper 2 from PSP 7.0. Rescaled it and adjusted brightness and contrast to get a suitable shades of black map.
