Are there any good free sites for hi-res images of people (male and female) to use as textures? It seems its really hard to make your own textures unless you pay or have a digital camera and a model.

Depends what you consiter high rez . About the only place your going to find what your looking for is porno sites. Thing about textures for human models is shadows are not your friend. About the only people who realy shoot / photograph like what you are looking for is for porn. The good news is you dont need the whole body just 1/2 of it or one side of it to make a texture. Even if you do get a camera you still have to shoot it right and in a controled light enviroment or you will be fighting shadows the whole way. Its easy to find part of sets but never the whole thing. Useally when you shoot a model for textures you take a frontal, then side, then back, then other side as well as the other parts you need . Btsculpter has a pretty good tutorial for sale here that can help you nake a 1/2 way decent texture if you go get enough parts to make a whole set. There is away you can kind of cheat and thats to desatureate the pieces and then colorise them to matching tones in a paint program.
