Subject: Problem in Moviemaking: Fetching an item at frame 1+n

Hi All, now we are rahter familiar in moviemaking. But we got another problem: Figure one is fetching a little box at frame 1+n. Our idea is to make this little box parent to the hand of figure one at frame 1+n. Unfortunately making this little box parent at frame n+1 means, this little box is parent all the frames (also previous frames). Is there any trick to make it better? Box not parent until frame 1+n? Kindest regards Daniel + Matthias Kruse

Use two identical boxes. Box 1 is parented to the hand for all frames, but begins with Scale = 0. Box 2 starts on the table, and has normal scale. At the moment when the hand grabs the box, move Box 2 upward until it is exactly matching Box 1. Then scale Box 2 down to 0, and scale Box 1 up to 100.

Hi ockham, thank's for responding. Yes, we are doing the same thing. We thought, there is a smarter way to manage this problem. At this moment we prefer to stop the footage right in this moment, when the figure is fetching the box. Then going to start a new footage with the last frame of footage 1 and contiune the footage with a parent made item. Thnk's again Daniel + Matthias Kruse
