PC is best! [Ok, now flame on... :-)] Dunno much about it. Just upgraded to an Athlon XP 2400 with 512 Mb RAM and 128 Mb videocard. But the jump from the previous was so high that I feel in heaven, so better left the advice to all the other good people that, no more than three weeks ago, helped me in choosing the New One. S.
bryce was made on a mac, and it's for a mac. i've also heard of the minor, but annoying glitches on XP. the only thing i kno about bryce's requirements is that it works great on my 800 mhz g3(and passable on my 450mhz g3 laptop). Try maxing out your mhz(that new 1.43 ghz g4 looks pretty nice).
I have an Athlon 1.8GHz CPU, 1Gb DDR RAM and a Geforce 4 MX440 graphics card. I also run XP Pro which doesn't have annoying glitches the only thing it doesn't do is refresh the taskbar when Bryce is running, and if your machine is only used for rendering then that wouldn't matter at all. I don't think it matters whether you use a PC or a MAC the only difference is that of price. You can buy a super fast PC for a fraction of the cost of a mediocre MAC. My 2 eurocents. Cat
The taskbar problem is also there in my winME, but I fix it by alt-tabbing to Windows Media Player and maximizing it. That usually brings the taskbar back. (you do need to have Winsows Media Player running ofcoarse)

General Rule for 3d graphics apps, PC/windoze = fast/lower stability, PC Linux = fastest and stable, Mac = slower but more stable No bryce for linux tho :-((((( (at least until wonderbryce comes along :-) Cost of a 2.5G+ AMD machine is stupidly low at the moment and it'll outperform all G3 and most G4 macs at rendering.
