Subject: Anatomists, what the heck is the shoulder muscle called...??

Need to get Mike 2's big meaty shoulders to look gaunt and old, but can't find my anatomy book to look up the names of the muscles involved. When I do full body morphs for 'old and thin,' they work everywhere but on those shoulder muscles. His muscles are all named on the dials, but I can't for the life of me recall the names of those particular ones. Tried trial and error dial twirling, but the shoulders are still way too muscular....help, please, before I damage the mesh with my experimentation! :(

heyas; the inverted teardrop shaped muscles at the top of the arm/shoulder are the deltoids. the muscles that go up the back of the shoulder to the neck are the trapezius. i made some no-trap and no-delt morphs for michael if you need them as well; they're at the 3dm goodies pages.

Sounds like maybe you're talking about the deltoids. There are like 5 or 6 muscles in the shoulder. Maybe the trapezius. Check these links: http://www.gen.umn.edu/faculty_staff/jensen/1135/webanatomy/wa_muscle/

Online Now!

If you go to the Mike2 product page at DAZ, one of the pop-up pictures shows a lot of the muscle names and points them out on him. It's the 'Atlas of Michael 2.0'

The deltoids are not actually shoulder muscles, but arm muscles. The most prominent muscle in the shoulder is the trapezius. Alberto Odor, MD
