So, let's go on with the ingredients for Naked Vicki In a Temple With a Sword: the sword. Untextured LWO model, 198 KB zip, 22 thousand polygons. 4 surfaces: pommel, handle, guard and blade. This one textured by combination of Bryce textures (pommel), photo textures (handle and blade) and both (guard). Pommel is plastic strips from mayang.com (not certain), blade from ... 3D Texture world, I guess, stainless steel plate, and the guard photo texture part is a pitted metal from somewhere.

Oh yeah. Not fancy, but a damn good looking sword.

Is this a new sword? If not, how about cutting some nicks or other wear damage into the blade? The Bryster

Nice Sword, Sometimes simplicity is best.

Frankly, I hate the convoluted fancy swords that seem to be prevalent around. This one is intended to be what it is, a killing tool. OTOH, there is something fancy that I'll try to model, a rapier with a fancy guard. There is one in somebody's selling sword connection, apparently modelled after the real one I saw, but if I can do it myself... OTTH, I'm trying to model a convoluted fancy ceremonial spear. :-) The texture is just an experiment. I don't know whether I'll be using this sword at all, because I'm trying to model something similar but still different. That one will have little rust spots and a different handle covering and so on.

just needs a revealing scabbard...;) looks good. You could always do a little decorating here and there. Have a fake one in the garage somewhere that looks like this. Good work.
