Here's the link, bikermouse. But I didn't start this thread for people to see my picture. I'm really glad I received comments also by those who think different from me (<-- got my English a bit warped here, sorry). This is a real twist from what was happening lately in the galleries. And, because the first time I complained, it seemed the right thing to do to let Bryce Forum people know that this time it was the other way around. I'm really glad for it. StefanoStefano, I'm with you on this one. I served 8 years and took part in the last war. I'm not for the war but I am for supporting our troops. It isn't like they have a say so in where they are ordered to go or what their mission is. I think people really need to stop and think about what is going on and your picture really evokes some emotion with regards to that. If it pisses people off, then you have done your job as it is making them think about what is really happening around the world. As for the pic itself...great concept and I really like the lighting.
Thanks again to you all. After the previous experiences, I was discouraged. So, that's why the "disagreeing" comments on this one were those that moved me more. Much more than the other ones. And, then, I was in a difficult position. I have so many friends, real good people here in R'osity, that I came to know in these months, that now have friends or relatives in the desert. How to express my opinion without touching their absolutely understable sensitivity on the subject? I tried to join the discussion in the OT forum, but it's very heated and almost always every thread ends with insults thrown about, so I've ceased to go there. Lin, I still haven't seen the movie. But everyone says it's great. And, luckily, I don't have any experience of being in a bombed city. I can only rely to my grandparent's accounts, and they're horrible. Ok, I'm rambling a bit. Thanx again. Stefano
I don't know that I saw any of your earlier gallery pieces which brought you much pain, but I'll say this Stephano... That is a near perfect piece of Anti-war art. I say that because it ISN'T really propaganda. I mean it is, but it is propaganda about an Ideal and not about an Event. I think that's important here. You're dealing with an Ideal. "War is Bad." It passes judgement not on soliders or even polititians... at least directly... but on a concept. As such, it is powerful. Thanks for rising above the fray and creating art with a message, instead of attempting to put a message in your art.

Hi all, maybe someone of your remember my post of about a week ago about the harsh comments and private insults I was getting after I posted an anti-war pic and wrote some comments on other people's images. I thought that I don't want to do like newspapers usually do, reporting only bad news. Today I posted another one, and was really uncertain 'til the very last moment whether to left unchecked the "rank" button, the "comment" button or maybe both, because I didn't want to repeat the experience. At the end, I choose to left them open. Rankable and commentable. I write this message because I'm so glad I did it. Some people left comments disagreeing with the message of my pic and stating their ideas are opposite than mine, but with a respect and a politeness that, after the past negative experiences, really pleased me a lot. No, more than a lot. Just wanted to share this very positive feeling with the related Forum Family. Take care and have a nice Sunday. Stefano
