Subject: Moving Carrera shaders/textures to Poser 5

I saw someone on Poser chat asking for a music box and thought "OH Cool" I got tons of those so can make a real live contribution here..... Well, in carrera - I painted on the lock and latches, built insides (2 levels), etc.

So am proud of myself - export the group of obj for the lid, then the obj for the box and feet - objects come in fine but my groups and shader groups are nowhere to be found! and the material rooms do not list the different groups (rectangle shader specifically).

Anyone got an idea rather than me just redoing all my texture work in poser with blank objects?

Have also posed question at Poser forum (case you see it) ;-)
export is wavefront with: surface fidelity 100% map carrera z axis to obj y export obj full path Thanks for any help you can provide.

I don't know about P5 (no Mac version), but it's straightforward with P4. Export the obj (convert shaders to jpeg) to its own folder, which will contain all the shaders, the obj and the mtl file. Then Poser reads the mtl file to get the shaders list. You may have to use the Group Editor to spawn props and rename/re-assign materials if they don't show up right after import into Poser.

AH didn't think about using spawn props.... will work on it and if lucky will have something finally up on freebies. Thank you
