Project Z is a collaborative effort between Sturkwurk, the 3DWizard, and Gorodin. It is a set of figures, props, hair and textures for V2 and V3.

We are close to done. I am working on the product promo pics and though I'd post a few images.

There are 3 commando color schemes and 3 Manga hero color schemes. This first set is the Assassin.

This is so cool! My favorite is the first one, the one in black. I'm not so sure about the ring or cuff around the top of the boots. Otherwise, excellent! :) Jay

Jay,

There is a visibility pose included that turns those cuffs on and off.

Here's a pic with the cuffs off.

jaybutton ( ) posted Wed, 09 April 2003 at 9:34 AM

This pack looks really great! I have one question. The holster looks like its on the right in some images and on the left in others. Can it be placed on both legs? Thanks! Jay

jkm ( ) posted Wed, 09 April 2003 at 9:42 AM

Very nice. Any chance of a HoloGauntlet for the other arm? Most people are right handed and might seem more natural to use that hand to type.

Gorodin ( ) posted Wed, 09 April 2003 at 10:31 AM

the holster, gun, knife and the pouch will have right- and left-handed versions

Ghostofmacbeth ( ) posted Wed, 09 April 2003 at 10:50 AM

Looks great .. The prop alone shots got me thinking a bit. Are there any morphs in the outfits for the body types? Even a couple morphs (such as barbarian and muscular) would be nice :)

Gorodin ( ) posted Wed, 09 April 2003 at 12:44 PM

JKM - I cannot guarantee that there will be a gauntlet for the left arm, though I think that the3DWizard is going to try to get that done before our deadline. Ghostofmacbeth - As for the body morphs, I have no idea if there is enough time to do that, considering the number of items affected. So I would have to say that that is an unqualified "I don't know". :-?

Ghostofmacbeth ( ) posted Wed, 09 April 2003 at 2:38 PM

Okay .. If so, whoo hoo .. If not, danggit .. stuck with standard vicks ...

the3dwizard ( ) posted Wed, 09 April 2003 at 5:38 PM

file_53570.jpg

JKM - Just did the gauntlet and here is the proof :) Ghostofmacbeth - Morphs??!! I am overworked as it is. :) Can't make any promises there.

the3dwizard ( ) posted Wed, 09 April 2003 at 7:15 PM

BTW not sure if we answered it anywhere but yes the hair is included. I am happy how the hair model turned out.

Ghostofmacbeth ( ) posted Wed, 09 April 2003 at 10:35 PM

3dwizard .. I understand ... I just like some flexibility and all with the figures since standard vick is ... well ... standard vick LOL

Ajax ( ) posted Thu, 10 April 2003 at 7:39 AM

Including morphs to match figure morphs tends to bulk up the poser files a lot and also slows down Poser. Tailor should take care of the figures and a little magnet work should cover the props in most renders. I've been one of the beta testers on this pack. I usually avoid doing beta testing because it takes up so much time (and the huge amount of STUFF in this pack makes testing it REALLY time consuming) but in this case, I leapt at the opportunity. As you can see from the renders, it's an awesome pack. I just had to have it. I'm hoping I get to test the Mike version too if one gets made. It's been a while since I felt this enthusiastic about a new Poser product.

Cool. Thanks. You guys did a great job with this.

Ghostofmacbeth ( ) posted Thu, 10 April 2003 at 10:20 AM

Ajax .... Believe me I know that. It also adds verisitilty beyond measure to me. Unless the clothes fill a niche that I don't have otherwise the lack of morphs in any shape determine if I will buy a product a lot of times. I can't stand having nothing but default Vicks. If I spend two hours morphing the perfect shape for an illustration and then can't clothe her it is annoying. If you take all the morphs but the face down it just defeats the purpose of it a lot of times. That is why even having the fairly standard (barbarian, muscular, faerie etc) that a couple of people were doing makes it so much more useful. There is a lot of stuff that I don't have just because it doesn't have morphs at all. If it has morphs I am likely to buy just about anything LOL End of box standing for me. The pack really does look good and sorry I butted in so much but it really a point to me not to have the default vick in scenes.
