Subject: vue 4.12 update installed! :)

Well since my other thread on win2kPro, amount of ram and vue updates changed to more on the OS subject..thought I would post right up front here that I installed the 4.12 update.. and it IS working better (have NOT added my additional ram yet, but will in a couple of weeks). The same scene file is still slow but I can SEE a better response when I make a change... the only other thing I actually notice is the bum import is working.. I know that is from an earlier fix. I will just watch for any other neat differences.. and am happy everything seems to be working just fine! I am now glad I updated! :) Lyne

Congratulations :-) But wait until... No. no - joke! 4.12 is the best version i have worked with so far. I am able now to deal with a lot bigger files than ever before. And i don't have many crashes at all. Hope you are well, Walther

At www.e-onsoftware.com it doesn't seem to work... the browser cannot open the download page (when i click on the download link) Can u help me? Give me another link or something... http://www.e-onsoftware.com/ Hmmm I had the same problem if I remember correctly. I can't remember how I got it to download to tell you the truth. I think I ended up going there with netscape 7 to tell you the truth. Page is broken in the older much faster browser I use netscape 4.7. That is the only place you can download it from unfortunatly. There is no ftp sever and no direct link to the actual download. make sure your browser is up to date and it may require cookies on and it also may require not using a download utility like Get Right or some similar program.

ok lets do it step by step. Go to www.e-onsoftware.com Click onto "Download" (second last on the left) Click onto "Update" (first on the left) Click onto the box of Vue D'Esprit (first on the left) Click onto "click here to get the update" (second last line on the right) Click onto "items you selected" (last line of the paragraph which starts with "please click on the arrow pointing right...") or as this paragraph says onto the arrow pointing right at the bottom of the page. Here you are. Could be that you have to allow cookies for e-on. I am not sure wether i have allowed that or wether it is not necessary. If it does not work, this could be a point! Ah, i have done it with IE 5.2 on a Mac! Hope that helps.
